Cameroon: Adamou Ndam Njoya, National President of the UDC, presents his wishes to the Media and revives the Republican Day of Reflections and Exchanges

The men of the media, politicians and many students and researchers have found their own account as far as it is concerned, as the debates were as rich as intense and high. During his speech, Dr. Adamou Ndam Njoya outlined the political and socio-economic situation of Cameroon, raised the challenges and proposals for solutions made by the UDC, and expressed his wish for an objective republican and processional participation in the management of the challenges. in 2018, for the consolidation of democracy, peace, national unity and nation-building, through dialogue and exchange.

The second highlight of this meeting was the relaunch of the JRRE (Republican Day of Reflections and Exchanges) under the theme "Political and security issues in the year 2018 in Cameroon." As a reminder, the JRRE is set up at the UDC as a Debates and Citizen Exchange Forum which, in the logic of establishing a culture of dialogue, consultation and exchange, brings together each month the three main categories of actors of the societal life that are: the political actors, the actors of the Civil society and the Actors of the media.

At this session, the presentations, debates and exchanges raised the major issues of elections and security, but also ecological and financial with a 2018 budget that is not made to best guarantee the interest of the population. At the political level, there are the elections that must be organized, but for them to be well managed, the debaters believe that we must first not only master the security issue by organizing the inclusive republican dialogue, but also reform the electoral system in a consensual manner. According to Ndam Njoya, the National President of the UDC, the recent history of Cameroon is marked by many missed appointments 1961, 1972, 1984, 1991, 2008 etc.

It is not necessary that, wishes the leader of the UDC, 2018 follows this logic of missed appointments. He therefore called for silencing sterile debates about the generational conflict, because the dynamism of youth needs the wisdom of the old to build a prosperous society. Ndam Njoya adds that the idea of the Republican Citizen Pact has the particularity of involving not only parties, but citizens who have understood the need to build a Cameroon "by all of us".
