Following the recent sociopolitical crisis and the prevailing insecurity situation coupled with numerous threats and recent attacks , the Governor of the North West Region informs the general public that with effect from the 1st of February 2018 the keeping and use of locally made guns and imported firm arms as well as the sale and purchase of ammunition are suspended for a period of six months in the North West Region.
