Cameroonian man placed more than 2,000 ghost workers on civil service payroll, receiving 1.8bn FCFA monthly sentenced to 104 years imprisonment


Last week a Court in Cameroon sentenced Mr Emmanuel Leubou to 104 years imprisonment for having over 2,000 ghost workers on Cameroon's civil service payroll under his watch.

According to report, Mr Leubou was receiving 1.8bn FCFA, about US$3.6 million monthly for himself before he was apprehended.

The accused may likely be spending his entire life behind bars if the jury's verdict is not appealed.
