Ambazonia: Police in Nigeria interrupted Ambazonia's independence day demonstration in Adagom refugee camp

The Nigerian police have just ended the celebration of the second anniversary of Ambazonia's independence in the Adagom refugee camp in Ogoja, Nigeria.

These anglophone refugees decided to mark this day through different activities. "They came on two trucks and stopped all active Independence Day activities. No arrest has yet been made, "said a witness on the scene.

Early this Tuesday morning, a football match was organized by the refugees in the camp.

It must be remembered that on 1 October 2017, the secessionist leaders of Ambazonia decided to proclaim the independence of the English-speaking part of the country. Since then, they have launched an armed struggle against the power of Yaounde. This war has already killed more than 2,000 people, mostly civilians.

Early this Tuesday morning, an 'Ambazonian' flag was hoisted in front of the 'White House' in Buea, provoking exchanges of fire between secessionist fighters and elements of the Cameroonian army invaded the area since 5 am . For now, no information is to filter on a possible human toll.

Several secessionist leaders including Sisiku Ayuk tabe were arrested and sentenced by the Cameroonian authorities.
