333 detainees, it is through a statement that the national and international public opinion was informed of the decision of Paul Biya to release 333 prisoners of the Anglophone crisis.
The same statement said that this action is part of the initiatives of Paul Biya to resolve the crisis that shakes the English expression areas of Cameroon. On the fourth day of the Grand National Dialogue convened by Paul Biya, the second to last day, the 333 detainees benefited from an immediate halt to pending prosecutions in military courts.
These 333 prisoners released by Paul Biya are people arrested during the Anglophone crisis in the North West and South West Regions, for crimes committed during this crisis.
Recall that this decision comes at a crucial time in the future of Cameroon, during the Grand National Dialogue where participants in several commissions debate the proposals to restore peace in Cameroon.
Among the other detainees in prison so far making noise, there are also people arrested during the post-election crisis who also allegedly committed crimes.
