The Banso Resistance Army (BRA) announces the strengthening of dead cities and attacks on banking institutions in the North West.
Leaflets have been circulating since Wednesday, January 24 in the city of Banso in the North West. They indicate that members of the Banso Resistance Army met on January 20, 2018 to discuss the arrest in Abuja of secession leaders, abuses and killings in the villages Kwa Kwa and Kombone in the Southwest.
" We want to inform the people of Kumbo and its surroundings that the moment of the speeches is over, we will launch an offensive against security forces, against Ambazonians, institutions and anybody considered as a traitor in our territory ", informs the leaflet.
He indicates that there is already a " special unit " in the city of Banso that will soon proceed to "coordinated attacks" in banks and micro-finance. The group notes that the banking institutions do not come to the aid of Banso businessmen affected by the Anglophone crisis.
"The dead city is an obligation and it must be respected with rigor, " reads the leaflet. He indicates that any trade that will be open from next Monday, will be burned.
After returning from Abidjan, where he took an active part in the 5th European Union / African Union Summit, Head of State Paul Biya declared war on the secessionists: " In the face of these acts of aggression, I want to reassure the Cameroonian people that all the measures are taken to put out of harm's way these criminals and to make sure that the peace and the security are safeguarded all over the national territory "had declared Paul Biya on November 30, 2017.
