The President of the Republic Paul Biya , receives the vows of the diplomatic corps accredited in Yaounde, and bodies constituted, January 4, 2018. In a statement issued by the civil cabinet of the Presidency of the Republic, we learn that the ceremony will begin at 9:45, to be completed around 1:15 pm
As usual, this ceremony will be held in two stages. The head of state will first receive the members of the diplomatic corps (ambassadors, high commissioner, charge d'affaires and representatives of international organizations). He should give a speech on this occasion
This first step will end around 11am. It will be followed by the presentation of the wishes of the constituted bodies of the Republic of Cameroon. The civil cabinet indicates that the authorized clothes are those of the ceremonies, and the mobile phones are strictly prohibited.
After the head of state, the first lady, Chantal Biya should also receive the 2018 vows from the wives of members of the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Yaoundé, and the wives of members of the National Constituencies. The ceremony should also be held at the Unity Palace. The date has not been indicated yet.
