Charged among others for "insurrection and hostility against the fatherland," the leader of the Movement for the Renaissance of Cameroon (MRC), Maurice Kamto, is now in custody in Kondengui main prison, as well as several of his supporters.
He was placed under arrest warrant, on the night of 12 to 13 February 2019, by the investigating judge of the Yaounde Military Court.
The politician was detained since 28 January at the Special Operations Group (GSO), following the organization of a peaceful march against the "hold up" election of October 2018; market which had previously been banned by the authorities.
