The measure rejected by other separatist groups is expected to come into force on August 26, 2019, until September 16. It is considered according to the latter, as a response to the life sentence of Ayuk Tabe and nine of his accomplices on August 20, 2019. A few hours after the verdict, the separatists fired at Bamenda in protest and announced a general war against the army. They also promised that there will be no return to school in both regions, despite several calls to return to school.
The threat of 21 days of dead city is leading to a mass exodus of people. According to concordant sources, travel agencies are stormed by thousands of passengers carrying women, children, suitcases, mattresses or other furniture. According to sources, this exodus is not far from fading to a week of back to school. This again threatens to jeopardize for the fourth consecutive year the return to school in these regions, despite assurances from the government.
