National Dialogue: Cardinal Tumi says he is ready to give up his life

The prelate, accompanied by other religious leaders, submitted proposals to the PM, head of government, Joseph Dion Ngute.

400 pages. The document handed to the Prime Minister, head of the government, is in the image of the stature of the man who wore it: Cardinal Christian Tumi. The prelate was received by Joseph Dion Ngute, in preparation for the Grand National Dialogue. The archbishop emeritus of Douala was at the head of a delegation made up of religious leaders (Muslims, Protestants, Presbyterians ...) and members of civil society. This team was mobilized, we remember, to organize the "All Anglophone Conference". Faced with the press, the prelate, carried by a visible emotion, called on all participants and contributors to this dialogue to "speak with sincerity and honesty".

Cardinal Tumi also said that "the men of God are obliged to do everything, even at the cost of our lives, so that peace returns to us here in Cameroon." A few hours earlier, Joseph Dion Ngute received Serge Espoir Matomba, first secretary of the Unified People for Social Renewal (Purs).

The candidate in the last presidential election also carried a document retracing what his party did for the return of peace in the North West and South West regions, the proposals designed for the end of the crisis and the related methodology. In short, Serge Espoir Matomba calls for "the harmonization of the educational and judicial system and the resorption of the identity crisis, through a real cultural revolution. What goes through the adoption of a national language. "

PM ended his day of consultations by the audience with Anicet Ekane, chairman of the Committee of Political Bureau director of the African Movement for New Independence and Democracy (MANIDEM). In addition to the proposals made, this party appeals to all those who are still hesitating and drag on to "unite to rebuild and consolidate national unity and defend the territorial integrity of Cameroon." Anicet Ekane stressed that all Cameroonians must strive to remove "the specter of division that will only benefit the enemies of Cameroon."
