Security in dialogue: George Ewane made a promise to secessionists

The national dialogue opens next Monday in Yaoundé amidst disagreement on the conditions of participation. The secessionists, great guests at this meeting fear for their lives. This is why they refer to Herman J. Cohen, former vice-minister for African affairs, as their representative.

But George Ewane, spokesman for the Great National Dialogue, this Friday on the Equinoxe radio, promises absolute security to all the secessionists who will be present at the dialogue: "I promise you that no secessionist invited to the Grand National Dialogue will be arrested at Yaounde. "

This reversal is taken with tweezers on the canvas. Internet users doubt the good faith of the CRTV journalist. There is still no official reaction from the secessionists following this statement.

About a thousand Cameroonians from various backgrounds are expected for a week at the Palais de Congrès in Yaounde. They are state dignitaries, the diplomatic corps, the national constituted body and more than 150 duly accredited national and international press journalists.
