URGENT: Fuel mixed with water sold in TOTAL stations


As part of its mission in the Littoral region, the Minister of water and energy, Gaston Eloundou Essomba, sealed today the station Total of Dibamba for sale of adulterated products.

The managers of this station would sell fuel mixed with water to consumers.

Seals have been affixed to this station & penalties are announced against these offenders.

The Minister instructed the strict respect of the procedures of control of the petroleum products in all the stations of Cameroon with the intensification of the quality controls.

At a time when the sanitation of the hydrocarbons subsector is de rigueur in Cameroon, an investigation is already underway to dismantle this mafia sector, seals have been immediately affixed to this station and severe sanctions will be taken against these offenders.

Below the full statement of the Minister of Water and Energy

"After his 3-day work mission in the Littoral region, where he inspected inter alia the facilities of the" SCDP "in Douala, the Minister of Water and Energy, who now asserts himself as a man in the field, came across a "poor quality fuel at a service station Total Dibamba", this Saturday, September 7, while he was about to fuel.

After an inspection to determine the origin of this pollution, the tests proved that it was a mixture with water. The offense is therefore established.

At a time when the sanitation of the hydrocarbons sub-sector is de rigueur in Cameroon, "an investigation is already open" to dismantle this mafia sector, seals have been immediately affixed to this station and "severe sanctions" will be taken against these offenders.

Following this unfortunate discovery, the Minister, Gaston Eloundou Essomba, instructed the strict respect of the procedures of control of the petroleum products in all the service stations of Cameroon, with the intensification of the quality controls of all the petroleum products distributed on the extent of the territory.
