The opponent remains cautious after the announcement of a national dialogue on the Anglophone crisis.
The reaction of the deputy and first vice president of the SDF, Joshua Osih is measured after the announcement by Paul Biya of a large national dialogue on the crisis in the English-speaking area.
He said at first relieved that the Head of State has become aware of the seriousness of a crisis that has already claimed thousands of victims and significant material and economic damage.
"It has been several years since 24 million Cameroonians came to the conclusion that we could not continue like this; it has been several years since Cameroonians called for this dialogue. Finally the President woke up, it is already that, " comments the former presidential candidate.
In the following, Joshua Osih is cautious about the content of the announced dialogue. "Mr. Biya, he is the man of big announcements and small achievements. So we are waiting to see what is contained in this dialogue announcement he is talking about, " said the parliamentarian.
Paul Biya indicated that the dialogue will revolve around " themes likely to provide answers to the concerns of the populations of the North-West and South-West, as well as those of other regions of our country: bilingualism, cultural diversity and social cohesion, the reconstruction and development of conflict-affected areas, the return of refugees and displaced persons, the education and justice system, decentralization and local development, the demobilization and reintegration of ex-combatants; combatants, the role of the diaspora in the development of the country, etc., " he said, stressing that this will be done under the Constitution of Cameroon.
Which makes some analysts say that the President of the Republic has closed the door to any debate related to the form of the state.
