Crisis : A gendarme on a PEACE mission commissioned as part of the fight against insecurity in the English-speaking regions is killed in a traffic accident in Bafoussam

On the morning of Wednesday, January 3, 2018, a tank truck with brakes released, came off the road to end its crazy run on facilities located along the road.

The accident occurred at a place called Carrefour Dschang in Bafoussam, capital of the Western Region. This large crossroads leads to Dschang and Bamenda, two major cities in the western part of the country.

Incidentally, the big heavy vehicle tore the lives of two people on the sidewalk. Among the victims is Constable Modeste Mbosso. "He was sitting in front of a house not far from the road. When he saw the truck coming, he did everything to save himself, but it was already late, the truck crushed it "says a resident. Constable Modeste Mbosso was on a mission as part of the fight against insecurity in the city of Bamenda, chief town of the North West Region and its surroundings.

He was part of a troupe charged with controlling the entrance to Bamenda from the Dschang junction. North West and South West are the two regions plunged into a so-called Anglophone crisis that has lasted for 14 months. The national gendarmerie has already lost about ten elements. The majority were murdered by radical activists fighting against the defense and security forces for the independence of the English-speaking regions of Cameroon.
